How to make a partnership mutually beneficial? &rdquo; these and other issues were highlighted on 3rd of July at the panel session &ldquo;PPP: a win-win approach for the effective partnership&rdquo; at the third annual financial conference &ldquo;Astana Finance Days&rdquo;, organized by the Astana International Financial Center and &ldquo;Kazakhstan PPP Center&rdquo; JSC. </span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style=”font-size:11pt”>The session speakers were: First Vice President of Front Office of &ldquo;Kazakhstan Public-Private Partnership Center&rdquo; JSC Yernazar Shynasyl, Chairman of &ldquo;YDA Group&rdquo; Hussein Arslan, Chairman of &ldquo;Financial Center&rdquo; JSC Askar Ibraimov, Director of the &ldquo;Concession and PPP Office of BI Group Company&rdquo; Erlan Zhakin, Partner and Group Leader &ldquo;EY Project Finance and Infrastructure EMEIA&rdquo; Richard Tollis.</span></p> <p><span style=”font-size:11pt”>&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style=”font-size:11pt”>Every state periodically needs to modernize its existing infrastructure, in particular social facilities, and rebuild new ones in accordance with new standards dictated by modern times, as well as with the goal of developing and maintaining the competitiveness of the country and its citizens. Such goals require significant cash outlays from the budget. The state and private businesses are increasingly entering into cooperation in search of effective ways to solve pressing regional problems on the basis of partnership. In such cases, the state applies the mechanism of public-private partnership (PPP).
